We Support Clay Aiken

Well it looks at though the entire blog that I first published is being taken the wrong way, so I give. Damned if I do, damned if I don't.

The fact of the matter is, I just want Clay back. I want him happy and singing again.

But whatever.

I want Clay back too. I want to see his beautiful face radiant with that crooked smile, his emerald eyes twinkling mischieviously and, most of all, just to hear Clay's glorious voice caressing the words to a song in a way that makes hearts melt...and the way only Clay Aiken can. I want to laugh with him when he gets snarky on talk shows. I want to see him serious when he's doing work that benefits children or those less fortunate. I want to hear other famous people ask Clay for his opinion on issues because they know Clay will have an intelligent, well-meaning, positive response.

It's easy to support Clay Aiken because he's a positive influence for people of all ages. Clay has never spoken unkindly of anyone; he always finds something positive and encouraging to say. Clay said many times over that he wanted to be a positive role model for everyone and he has been.

I just don't understand why certain person(s) would want to attempt to tarnish Clay's image with crass jokes and vile stories. Those shoes fit the accuser, not Clay. These people had their say. Your time is up; goodbye!

It's been a heartbreaking four months for us Clay fans but we're still here, waiting for our star to shine even brighter than before - and he will.

I have also missed something around here.

I will say what I have said before. I don't use "love" when I describe how I feel about Clay, since I don't know him. (That's just me - not judging others.) But I can say this - I love Clay's MUSIC and that won't change. No matter what, I'm here.

I admire him, for what he TRIES to do outside of his musical career. I have seen and read for myself the positive about Clay and the negative. As much fun as the "name-callers" have trying to pick me apart, I know what I know. I can read between the lines.
Clay would be the first to say that he isn't perfect. But "perfect" isn't what I "need" to be a fan.

I have been following on the news on Clay Aiken periodically and regardless of what I have been reading, Clay Aiken is still the BEST American Idol. None of the American Idols can compare to his vocal and looks. Clay will always have my full support unconditionally

I think the best way Clay's fans can support him is to continue to buy his music as it is released, continue to attend his concerts, and continue to support the charities he represents if you are so inclined. We can also stay away from any bloggers whose only purpose is character assassination in the guise of truth. The more hits they receive the longer they will continue to operate. Hold fast and wait patiently. Clay will return when the time is right.

I adore Clay and can't wait for TBD to drop and touring to start. I'll be buying CDs for every prospective Clayvert I know, and I'll be attending as many concerts as humanly possible.

But what about NOW? Here's how I'm supporting him now: I'm keeping his name OUT THERE during this Great Drought of '06 by searching, bumping, voting and e-mailing, particularly HOB, LYCOS, and every poll that pops up. We have time on our hands now. What better use of that time do we have?

Lordy Lordy, I am so fed UP with all this gay speculation. I have a rather merited reason WHY it is a;ll going on. Clay was runner up on Idol... getting all kinds of accolades from Christian afiliations. Well up until prissy Carrie Underwood won at least. Someone is trying to ruin everything he is and all he stands for. Because it would be quite humiliating for Simon's hand picked "Idol" to be second best to a runner up. But the sad fact is that she will NEVER amount to anything close to Clay Aiken's status. I have a promoter and he is the same one who promoted for Carrie Underwood's Jesus Take The Wheel. I stand affirmative in saying that someone in the biz is trying to ruin Clay so Carrie can be top Idol. ALl of this has such perfect timing...the rumors really started mostly after little prissy girl won. WHat a cheap and cheesy way to merit idol status. I believe the show is as fake as it can be. Also Simon cannot stand the humiliation of looking like an idiot. Remember when he said Clay did not look like a pop star/idol?? Boy does Simon ever look like a incompetent idiot now. The most curious thing about this last five months is why all this attacking, exposing, etc. is going on for a second place finisher in a reality program?

Lionel Ritchie has already said that Clay was the reason people are turning back to good music.
People are turning away from Rap, Hip-Hop, etc. and listening to Manilow, Buble, Ritchie, etc.
Clay tapped into that wave in everyone of his concerts. Celine Dion has sold-out shows. Josh Groban does the same.
If I'm right about this major swing away from the "music," played
the past ten years or so, could Clay be the "whipping boy" to stem the tide away from music we really can't sing along without earplugs.
Sales of CDs have dropped 25% the past few years. Coincidence?
Maybe.
It will be interesting to watch all this play out. A year or two from now, it will be interesting who wins this battle or has a war just begun?

I don't believe this has anything to do with Carrie, but it has everything to do with Clay and his perceived right-winged Christian fan base.

I have been a Clay fan since he sang his first note on AI2. I've seen him in concert 5 times. I've never been to a concert that was so much fun or had such a diverse audience, all ages, men, women and children. He has such incredible talent, and a voice that just makes me melt. He is a true entertainer and draws the audience into his show. Thats a rare thing. I will always be a fan and I too am missing you Clay! Can't wait for the new cd and another concert!

What we should be concerned with is how a great performer, and human being he is. Just look at all he has done for others since becoming a superstar.

all the controversy going around clay is just wrong. A great man like him does not deserve this abuse.

I do support Clay.
I do not believe the lies being spread my those who
are out for evil purposes.
For Clay to be a follower of Jesus Christ and the Bible (and what is states about homosexuality behavior) AND at the same
time to be this other mean, selfish gay persona
as some are trying to make us believe.....is not
possible. At least not
for someone with Clay's

I do not know if Clay is gay, and I was not a fan of his in the past. But i heard him sing on this year's American Idol finale. He has a beautiful voice (even my husband who is not a fan of pop music thought he sounded great; outsang Elton John on "Dont let the Sun Fall Down on Me").

Why judge him on his sexuality (whatever it is) instead of his talent?. Elton John has had a great career despite his sexuality. Let the poor man be.

Just found this blog, so thought I'd add my BEST WISHES to Clay for the great success of his latest CD & single & tour & everything that comes after it for yrs & yrs to follow!!! I knew the boy was a SUPERSTAR when he rocked out to I CAN'T HELP MYSELF on Motown Night (AI2) - he'd only done ballads up till then - & my boyfriend turned to me & said, "That guy can sing anything!" I didn't let on to my bf that all I could think about was how freakin' S.E.X.A.Y. that cute little nerd had become!!! And now with the new Emo/Beatles cut ... LORD, HAVE MERCY ... America has no idea what they are in for when that HOTHOTTHOTTT man turns 30, 35, 40, 45, etc.!!!!!

I love to listen to Clay recordings.His private life should be left just that PRIVATE. His life is between God and himself. I support him in any case and will buy all of his records. I will not deny myself his God given talent and neither should any music lover.His voice is golden and I believe his heart is pure.GOD bless this man and his voice. Lois

I miss him much. BUT September 19th isn't too far away, so we don't have to wait too long.

But I love the man (love as in respect him muchly and as a fan) and love his music, and I miss him (I think I already said that).

It's such a shame that all these lies about Clay are out there.

I hope the general public know better than to accept these blatant falsehoods - they are all on a par with The National Inquirer (and we all know how credible that tabloid is).

I'm still waiting on someone to pop in and agree to talk on camera. No manipulation. I don't manipulate. The story with Josh is Josh talking. There were a lot of people in the room including his family. Nothing was manipulated. If Clay doesn't return calls, according to some responses here, I'm supposed to let it go and not report it? If a murderer commits his crime, but refuses to talk to me about it, am I supposed to drop it? No. Now Claymates, don't twist this. I am not comparing Clay to a murder. :-) But the point people are trying to argue that I only reported one side without doing my legwork is not accurate. I would never have allowed Josh on air without knowing a lot more about the situation than was reported.

I really want Clay fans to talk on camera about why they love Clay and take up for him. If he won't talk to me, you're the next best thing, don't you think?

There has been a firestorm of Clay support here. I find it interesting not one of these people will agree to support their idol without their mask of anonymity.
